Guest curator Byron Scott Adams introduces his exhibit Amalgamation: A Synthesis of Blackness.
Byron Scott Adams is an Afro-Latino actor, storyteller, model, and organizer born in Anaheim, CA. His work is queer and looks to blend the sensual parts of intimacy with soft aggression and personal liberation, recently featured work on Art Fag volume 3 and Sensitive Content Magazine volume 2. He has collaborated with and modeled for Thom Browne, Djeneba Aduayom, Cantiq LA, and Alex Stoddard. He has worked in the performance art space with performance artist Geneva Jacuzzi and Peter Kalisch. Outside of performance, Byron has worked as an assistant programmer for LALIFF and as a Shorts Programmer for Outfest LA. Upcoming projects include a supporting role in That Alien, Sound, a comedy following an alien sound wave that takes over a woman's body.
